Job Title: Administrative Assistant

Specific Responsibilities
Ensure proper documentation of all clients complete with at required forms and documents
Collate client data into the Data Management System and assist with data collation and reports as required and requested.

Ability to engage constructively with diverse groups and individuals from different social and cultural backgrounds
Knowledge of gender-based violence issues in the Lagos context
Ability to plan in advance and maintain an organized working style, yet able to handle new events and situations effectively as they arise.
Able to work independently, multi-task, and take initiative, but also able to ask for help as needed.
Excellent computer skills including the ability to operate spreadsheets and other programs (Word, Excel, Power point. etc.)

Finance Assistant (MAPS)

 Responsibilities:
Work in accordance with the project accounting handbook to administer programme funds at Abuja level;
In consultation with the National Programme Manager and the Deputy Finance Manager, produce regular rolling quarterly and monthly forecasts and submit monthly site returns to the Deputy Finance Manager in Abuja to feed into the monthly reconciliation and invoicing processes;
Maintain up-to-date project accounts on the system to ensure that timely, accurate and appropriate information is available to the programme management team;
Liaise with administrative and technical teams to ensure accurate forecasting and prompt disbursal and reconciliation of expenditure;
Supervise preparation of all payment vouchers, journal vouchers and cheques and ensure the timely settlement of all undisputed sub-contractor invoices;
Monitor expenditure and advise the National Programme Manager and Deputy Programme Finance Manager of potential issues with regards to forecasting, disbursement or accounting;
Maintain a petty cash register and supervise the imprest accounts for Abuja based staff;

Qualifications and Requirements:
University degree or recognized equivalent in accounting or finance.
Experience with Accounting skills
Experience with large complex organizations is required, familiarity with international NGOs preferred.
Knowledge of general office practices and financial procedures.
Resourceful in gathering and providing information.
Knowledge of budget preparation and monitoring.

Job Title: Media Relations Officer

Responsibilities

Women's Health and Action Research Centre recruits Consultants


The Women’s Health and Action Research Centre (WHARC) is a non-governmental, non-profit association whose operation is to encourage the reproductive wellbeing and social well-being of women through study, evidence-based advocacy and teaching. The organization, with nationwide head office in Benin City, Edo State was established in 1993. The Consultancy
To this end, WHARC requires the services of an experienced advisor to supply abridged content for the suggested dissemination undertakings. Some of the dissemination activities being envisaged encompass: a documentary of WHARC’s study undertakings and outcome, output of a sequence of public service announcements (PSAs), dissemination of outcomes through communal newspapers, development of policy/media briefs, and radio/TV converse displays.

Support regular supervision and provide oversight for the maintenance of the storage facilities in the Program, and provide periodic reports (e.g. stock status, commodities storage condition reports, etc.) on Procurement and Logistics activities and warehousing maintenance.
Documents all Procurements, movable and immovable properties/assets and ensures that best practices are adopted in the usage and disposal of the items ofthe organization.
Supports the documentation of all PSM activities.
Filing of all Procurement documents of the organization
Maintain the Procurement Matrix, reconcile procurement requests, and support other PSM activities as at when needed by the organization.
Qualification

Candidates must process a B.Sc. Pharm with a minimum of 5 years experience in the management of international procurement and supplies chain management functions.
A Master’s Degree in related field will be an added advantage.
Applicants must be familiar with logistics M&E with appropriate certification and relevant qualifications.
Also required is familiarity with Government and international donor agencies rules and regulations, and proficiency in LMIS software, analytical and problem solving skills.
lndebt knowledge and understanding of Nigerian drugs regulations and management is mandatory.
4.) Monitoring and Evaluation Officer; reporting to M&E Coordinator

Specific/Job Responsibilities

Involve in the implementation of monitoring and evaluation activities and ensure that strategies are implemented according to plan.
Work with other project staff and sub-recipients to ensure that monitoring and evaluation activities are carried out appropriately to meet the donor and projects M&E needs.
Support the development and design of the M&E framework, tools and project M&E plans and guidelines and surveillance data for program planning, evaluation, and policy advocacy.
Provide continuous technical assistants on data management to project team.
Ensure regular maintenance of database/information system
Contribute effectively at national and sub-national levels to Health Management Information System strengthening
Conduct routine monitoring visits to project sites, including the conduct of data verification and validation and data quality assessments (DQAs) using standard checklists.
Assist in the preparation of quarterly project reports, proposal writing and assessment exercises.
Participate in project assessments, evaluations and design teams, and conduct operational research activities.
Make presentations to stakeholders at both technical and non-technical sessions on program achievements and deliverables
Represent and make appropriate presentation at professional meetings, conferences and workshops related to Monitoring and Evaluation including M&E Technical Working Group (TWG) and other relevant technical committees.
Qualifications

Applicants must have a University degree in any of the following related field: Medicine, Pharmacy, Statistics, Demography and Public Health.

Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in Monitoring and Evaluation in HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis, Malaria or related fields/ programs in developing countries; and working experience with Global Fund, USAID or any other donor funded programs is desirable.

To research, write, commission, edit and publish accurate and effective online project achievement content; ensuring that online content meets high editorial standards.
To work with stakeholder, program and M &E teams to explore potentials donors success stories, disseminate lessons learnt, success stories and bestpractices.
To work with media to make visible the donors projects in the country, and contribute to the development of tools, IEC materials and public relations as appropriate.
To improve documentation, and serves as the contact person with the Media officials.
Qualifications

Applicants must have a University degree in any of the following related field: Mass Communication, Journalism, Computer sciences, Social Sciences. etc.
A master’s degree in communication arts will be an added advantage.

Check and ensure that relevant processes are followed for procurements.
Follow through on proper, complete and timely retirements of advances. Carry out Spot check on all movable assets including cash.
Identifies potential risk areas and internal control flaws in the course of audit and submit timely reports and implementable recommendations on audits carried out.
Qualifications

Purpose:

Duties and Responsibilities:

Prepare Payment Requests for employees' medical expenses reimbursement. Relate with Finance department for full reconciliation of HR and finance records related to medical coverage;
Assist in processing children school fees payment by checking on invoices and raising Payment Requests;
Handle special projects, conduct legal research and draft memorandum and letters, as requested.
Accountability: The Human Resources Assistant will be accountable to the Human Resources Manager and the Country Officer.
Qualifications:
BA or equivalent in Organization and HR management;
Experience of at least 3 years working in international organizations and/or NGOs;
Strong knowledge of labor law and practices in Nigeria.
Comprehensive knowledge of Human Resources policies and procedures.
Excellent English level and good working level in French.
Good organizational skills with capacity to carry out several tasks with minimum supervision in a fast-paced, hectic environment.

Basic Duties of the position
The incumbent will serve as an Activity Manager for selected education components of the activities that form the implementation core of the education strategy, which are implemented through cooperative agreements and contracts with US Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs). The assigned portfolio focuses on managing the new, yet to be awarded, reading program.
He/she performs the full range of program management functions including, inter alia, ensuring grantees/contractors meet the full objectives of their scopes of work, advising on evaluations, ensuring program compliance with USAID policies and that the content and objectives of education projects ensure outcomes consistent with the Mission strategy. Minimum Requirement

Nigerian Urban Reproductive Health Initiative (NURHI)




The Nigerian Urban Reproductive Health Initiative (NURHI) seeks applications from qualified individuals to contribute to improved maternal health and reduced child mortality through increased contraceptive prevalence rate in selected urban areas in Nigeria. As part of its replication plans,  NURHI Project is expanding its services to Benin and Zaria  project sites with effect from August 2012.

NURHI is looking for dynamic, hardworking individuals to join its team for the following positions in the replication cities of Benin and Zaria for one and a half years subject to availability of funds. Two candidates are required for Benin (1) and Zaria (1) field offices.



1.)  Finance Assistant – Benin (1) and Zaria (1)

The NURHI Field Office Finance Assistant, under the direct supervision of the Program Manager, and with technical guidance from the NURHI Finance and Administrative Director, is responsible for financial administration of the NURHI project field office activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Maintain the project field office petty cash and check books;
    Prepare payments; ensure proper authorization for payments;
    Supervise the processing of staff claims and advances retirements in addition to other financial and administrative supports for the field office in line with the project policy and procedures.

Qualifications:

Skills:

    Good problem-solving, analytical computing and independent thinking skills.
    Strong working relationships and interpersonal communication skills

Education and/or Experience:

4.) Program Manager (PM)-  Benin (1) and Zaria (1)

The NURHI Program Manager (PM) will provide overall management, technical and financial oversight for the project field office.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:

    Provide guidance, supervision and support to field office staff including the demand generation/advocacy officer, accountant, and monitoring and evaluation officer, including conducting annual performance reviews; ensuring practical application of NURHI  Replication Plans, policies and procedures to meet the project deliverables and objectives;
    Benin PM will essentially, receive Technical Supports from Ibadan State Team Leader (STL), while Zaria PM will receive same from Kaduna STL, for the purpose of the replication strategies and other related duties.

Qualifications:

    Strong organizational, interpersonal leadership and management skills
    Good problem-solving and independent thinking skills
    Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Power Point)

Education and/or Experience

    Masters-level professional qualification in public health, social science, communication or equivalence.
