University of Port Harcourt Recruits Research Fellows (Graduates and Experienced)


University of Port Harcourt invites applications from suitably qualified candidates into the following posts in the University's Research Institutes

Institute of Agricultural Research and Development


1.) Senior Research Fellow
PhD with at least 6 years of teaching and research in a University. Scholarly publications will be an advantage

2.) Research Fellow I
PhD with at least 3 years of teaching and research in a University or comparable institution. Industrial experience as well as Scholarly publications will be an advantage.

3.) Research Fellow II
PhD in relevant area of specialization from a recognized University. Those that have not taught previously are also eligible to apply.

4.) Asst Research Fellow I
Masters degree in relevant area of specialization from a recognised University; and should also possess a minimum of second class upper division in Bachelors degree.

Institute of Maternal and Child Health

5.) Senior Research Fellows (Paediatrics)
Fellowship, 10 years experience in Research

6.) Research Fellows (Paediatrics)
Fellowship, 5 years experience in Research

7.) Research Fellows (O & G)
Fellowship, 5 years experience in Research

8.) Research Fellows (Community Medicine)
Fellowship, 5 years experience in Research

Conditions of Service
These are as applicable in the Federal Civil Service and as appropriate in the Nigerian University System.
