Job Purpose
Managing effective exploration, appraisal and development of FIELD opportunities.
Coordination of activities with existing Operations team to ensure optimal integration with existing asset production
Financial responsibility for asset performance within CLIENT structure.
Requirements
Master's degree in petroleum engineering discipline or equivalent.
Extensive experience within offshore oil and gas projects and operations, ideally in Nigeria/West Africa.
Extensive experience as an Asset manager of an offshore production facility, ideally in Africa.
Good exposure to exploration, production and development of onshore, offshore, subsea, pipelines and FPSO projects.
Good experience in a hydrocarbon production industry environment in a supervisory/management capacity.
Experience with hydrocarbon development and production and offshore floating production facilities in a supervisory / management capacity.
Experience in operating an FPSO and subsea developments.
Full Field Development experience from start up through field abandonment.
Knowledge of oil and gas production, rotating equipment, and water injection required.
Good people management experience of both large expat and national staff.
Good skills in Microsoft office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook)
Excellent leadership, presentation and communication skills.
Must be willing to travel in country within Nigeria and internationally.
Extensive experience working as a Development Manager
Experience with development contractors and secondly with Asset Management and also someone who has also had non-operator Asset Management experience of an offshore production
Office based role with travel between client's Nigeria operations and travel to London would be required as per business needs.
Residential position on married or single status
candidate must be to be well exposed to Nigeria, Drilling, offshore tie backs, processing, subsurface G&G etc in an upstream setting, ideally from oil companies / operators.
