Job Title: Deputy Manager, AMFm

Location: Abuja

Job Profile
This is a Deputy Manager position; the successful candidate will be a key staff providing technical support for the implementation of the Affordable Medicines Facility (for) malaria. S/he will report directly to the Director Global Fund Malaria programmes and responsibilities will include: facilitating the roll-out of the training and commodity movements under the AMFm project in line with the national framework; preparation of plans to conduct, and conducting TOTs as appropriate in collaboration with relevant stakeholders and partners; leading other staff to ensure the technicality of the implementation of AMFm supporting interventions; networking with representatives of all stakeholders and the membership of the AMFm task force, and facilitating the implementation of the AMFm task force terms of reference. Responsibilities will also include coordinating programme management to ensure all project external partners including Sub-recipients (SRs), Contractors and Agents implement project deliverables on-time and in line with contracts and MOUs and facilitating the collation and reporting of project results to the Global Fund. The successful candidate will also interpret, summarise and communicate results of all SR quarterly reports, consultant reports and any significant interactions with M&E teams of the second Principal Recipient, government agencies and NGO partners; and lastly coordinate the analysis of field reports to address challenges in programme delivery and provide recommendations.

Qualifications/Experience
Minimum Academic/Professional Qualifications required for the position:
At least 8 years post NYSC working experience, with a minimum of 4 years at managerial level in malaria related programming
Post Graduate degree will be an added advantage
Significant experience in health commodity channel management
Ability to develop and write proposals and excellent report writing skills
Experience in donor funded project management will be an advantage
Excellent knowledge of Excel, Microsoft Word and Power point required.
